Mangaluru, April 27, 2016 : For the first time in the city, the State Prisons Department along with Vruksham Talent Group, Bengaluru is organising a two-day training programme on Capacity Building and Development for the prison staff in Mangaluru.
Inaugurating the programme on April 27, Wednesday, District Sessions Judge Uma M.G. said such programmes go a long way in rejuvenating as well as boosting the morale of the staff. It is only when one achieves satisfaction in work that he can lead a good life, she added.
Krishnamurthi, Jail Superintendent who also addressed the trainees said the programme would contribute to development of professional skills which would help in improving one’s work efficiency.
Dr Sharanappa S D, District Superintendent of Police said the jail staff have to normally cope under pressure as they have to deal with numerous prisoners. Such training programmes are very much essential for them, he added.
Vruksham Talent Group CEO Umesh, Legal Services Authority Member Ganesh B and others were present at the inaugural function.
