Mangaluru: Toddler falls, drowns in well at Bejai

Mangaluru, January 24, 2016: In a tragic incident, a two year old baby drowned after falling into a well in the city this evening.

According to reports reaching here, the child – a girl identified as Ashwini – was playing outside her house in Bejai, close to Rama Bhajana Mandira.

Her parents are identified as Nagaraj and Lakshmi, both migrant labourers from North Karnataka. It is said that the child innocently strayed into an open well near the house. Though the well had been covered in a wire mesh, it was too weak to hold the baby’s weight and she fell into the water.

Efforts to save her failed and the fire service retrieved her body.

Police have registered a case.

The parents have to have an eye on the young ones as they make attempt do imitate the parents in doping work .They will not be aware of the future problems.
