Mangaluru, Oct 10, 2015: Two separate theft incidents took place in the city on Oct 9. people lost money to the tune of Rs 3.8 lakh kept in their parked  scooters.

Thefts.A lady employee of a private company lost Rs 1.3 lakh near Kottara Cross in Urwa station limits.

In the second report Rs 1.5 lakh was taken from the vehicle of a cashew industry worker at JM Road near Bunder Station.

Police sources said that Jyothi, an employee of Carrier KNND Associates, had kept Rs 1.24 drawn from Canara Bank, Gandhinagar branch in her two-wheeler’s box. She parked her vehicle near a shop and went to do purchase. On return after purchase, she found money missing from her vehicle’s box.

A person working in cashew industry had kept his two-wheeler near a restaurant on JM Road. He had kept Rs 1.5 lakh in his two-wheeler’s box before entering a restaurant to have tea. A person wearing helmet on a bike is said to be suspected of lifting the money and diappearing, according to police.

This looks like the person kept watching him or else its not possible to know about the cash in the bike.

Why she had to leave such huge amount in the car. it is the work of some known person because how will any one know that there is money in that particular car. In spite the police warn the public panic after such incidents.
