Mangaluru, Sep 28, 2016 : As part of the recent eviction drive launched by the MCC against street vendors, a team of officials led by Revenue officer Praveen Karkera has evicted street vendors operating in the vicinity of the Market Road, by conducting a raid on September 28, Wednesday. Nearly half a lorry load of vegetables and fruits and nearly 8 vending carts have been seized from the street vendors.
MCC Health inspectors too were part of the team that raided the place with police protection. The officials have said that the raid was aimed at clearing the obstructions on footpaths and road sides.
