Mangaluru, May 15, 2020: The State Cabinet has given its approval for the Integrated Transport Hub Project at Pumpwell in Mangaluru. The works on the project are expected to begin in the next few days.
In the wake of the cabinet approval for the long awaited project, Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA Vedavyas Kamath, Mayor Diwaker Pandeshwar, Standing Committee President Poornima, Corporators Sudhir Shetty Kannur, Shakila Kava and several others visited the project site on May 14, Thursday.
The project would come up on the 7.23 acre land earmarked for the purpose at Pumpwell. The Project would be taken up under the Smart City project on a PPP model at an estimated cost of Rs 445 crores.
The project will comprise 180 bus bays, amenities for long distance private and KSRTC buses, a 10 lakh square feet shopping mall, office space and a multi-level car parking facility etc. The project has to be completed within three years.
