Mangaluru, June 8, 2015 : In an interesting development, the Sri Rama Sene staged a protest not only against the State Congress Government but also against the BJP led Union Government on June 8, Monday.
If the Sri Rama Sene was sore against the state government over its recent decision to withdraw cases against the KFD and the PFI activists in several cases of communal disturbances, the grouse against the Union Government was its failure to fulfil the Ram Mandir promise and also to stop cattle slaughter and forced conversion. The protestors also alleged that the government has taken a u-turn on the issue.
Mahesh Koppa, Zonal President of the Sena who addressed the protestors accused the BJP National President Amit Shah and Defence Minister Manohar Parikkar of hurting Hindus through their comments on beef ban and cow slaughter.
He alleged that the Swachh Bharath Mission has merely become a publicity stunt. “The Prime Minister who is busy in foreign tours has deviated from core issues,” he further stated.
Launching a tirade against the state government, he said the state government will have to face a massive protest against its recent move to withdraw cases against KFD and PFI.
