Mangaluru: Sahyadri College gets special recognition from UGC

Mangaluru, Oct 05, 2018: City based Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management has gained recognition from University Grants Commission under Section 12 (B) of the UGC Act, 1956, which makes the institution eligible to receive central government assistance and grants for projects, funding for students and faculty for overall development of the Institute.

Sahyadri is one among the few colleges of the state to have been recognized by the apex body of Government of India. With this recognition, faculty and students of the institute can also receive UGC’s support for projects related to technical education and management.

This recognition is given based on infrastructure and facilities available in the college and also the quality of education imparted to the students, says a media release issued by the college.
