Mangaluru Sep 9, 2016: Karnataka Rakshana Vedike staged a protest outside DC office today September 9, Friday opposing  release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu.


Addressing the protesters, District President Anil Das condemned the release of 15,000 cusecs of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. Today farmers in Karnataka are distressed over  the Cauvery row which has further added to their problems. Advocate Phali Nariman need to be sacked and this issue should be examined scientifically, he observed.

He also said that, Ministers in Karnataka are politicizing the issue when the state was facing a grave crisis. State government has utterly failed to tackle the Cauvery row, he alleged.

Karnataka Rakshana Vedike Members Rajesh, AK Jamaal, Arun Kumar, Nawaz, Akash, Santhosh and others were present.

Prior to the protest, a protest rally was carried out from Jyothi Circle to DC office.

Taking the advantage of the situation and trying to become hero’s. Nobody protests genuinely. Find a solution and not create problem.

Are the Karnataka Rakshanaa Vedike really concerned about the cauvey issue? Seeing the protests these days we are just OOPs
