Mangaluru: Police prevented a murder. Arrests a man with pistol; seized 5 bullets.

Mangaluru: June 28,2015: Alerted police prevented a murder and arrested an accused who plotted the crime. The police seized a pistol and 5 live bullet from the accused on Saturday June 27.

The accused Dayananda alias Raja (34) was arrested near Kulshekar Kaikamba post office.

Based on a tip off that a crime has been plotted near Kulshekara, the police raided and arrested Raja. Two other persons were also involved but managed to escape when the police raided.

Raja is an accused in a brutal murder of a bus driver Prasanna Pujary along with group of seven in 2013, near Neermarga, Mangaluru.

The police seized a mobile phone and a pistol worth Rs. 1 lakh.

The police under the supervision of Police commissioner S Murugan and under the guidance of DCP K M Shantaraju, Valentine D’souza arrested the accused.
