Mangaluru, Sep 16, 2015: Three notorious thieves who were wanted in connection with several theft cases have been arrested by the Pandeshwar Police on September 15, Tuesday. Valuables worth Rs 4.55 lakh including gold ornaments, a laptop, five bells and 25 pedestal lamps have been seized from them.
Those arrested are Sandeep from Bajpe Porkody, Kiran (22) from Haveri and Ashok Kumar (28) from Vattanadu in Tanjavur.
It has been gathered that of the three Kiran and Ashok used to stay in tents in order to facilitate shifting of their place of stay and used to commit robberies after noting down some houses during the day time posing as rag pickers. It is learnt they have committed thefts in temples too and used to flee to some other place by trains after committing thefts.
Several sanitary items and 12 copper cauldrons have also been seized from them. Further investigations are in progress.
