Mangaluru: One more chain snatching incident in Kadri

Mangaluru, June 01, 2015: The chain snatchers are roaming around seeking for their victims without any fear, for the consecutive third time, the miscreants have managed to snatch the Gold chain.

chain-snatchin.. Leelavathi S Kattige (51) lost her chain worth 75000 to snatchers near Kadri ground on Sunday early morning. She was out for a walk and to bring foodstuff around 6.30 am.

As she was walking near Shri Krishna seva samriti building, two young arrived and snatched her gold chain from her neck and flew away. She has filed a complaint at the Kadri police station. She says she remembers the face of two snatchers and can identify them anytime.
The Kadri police have cautioned women against wearing expensive gold ornaments while walking alone.
The incident has raised the eyebrows of people over the practice of senior women wearing gold while going on walk early in the morning. The price of the gold has reached over skies and the evil eyes of miscreants are focused on women wearing gold on avoidable occasion. It is better for women to use imitation jeweler, if they must while going for walks.
