Mangaluru: Now sand bookings can be made through call centre

Mangaluru, Apr 10, 2015: A call centre offering facilities to book sand as well know its prices etc has been opened  by the joint committee of sand contractors, sand  boatmen, sand workers and transporters of construction materials.

 

The Committee office bearers have informed that the call centre having the telephone number  8088869869  has been opened  in association with the District Administration and Department of Mines and Geology. Customers can also book sand required by them through this call centre which operates round the clock.

All conversations  through this number are recorded and callers  will get all relevant information.

 There will be three sand depots at Kallaup, Adyar and Kulur and areas within 10 km radius from these depots are Ullal, BC Road and Suratkal.

As far as the pricing is concerned, concrete sand is priced  at Rs 3,000 and fine sand at Rs 3,500 for the first 10 kilometres for Unit 2. And for unit 3, while concrete sand will be available for  Rs 4,500 and fine sand at Rs 5,250 for the first 10 kilometres. A service fee of Rs 100 will be collected and Rs 500 will be charged for every additional five kms.

Sand will be delivered within 24 hours of receiving the order.
