Mangaluru, Feb 12, 2020: The new building of the Mangaluru Taluk Panchayat which has come up adjacent to the Mini Vidhana Saudha at a cost of Rs 4.25 crores, was inaugurated on February 12, Wednesday by DK District in-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary.
Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLAs U T Khader, Vedavyas Kamath, Bharath Shetty, Umanath Kotian, MLCs Harish Kumar, Ivan D’Souza, ZP Chief Meenakshi Shantigodu, Mangaluru Taluk Panchayat President Mohammad Monu, Taluk Panchayat Vice President Poornima Poojary and others were present.
The new building has three floors including the basement which is earmarked for parking. The ground floor houses the office of the Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer, Administrative Office and Accounts Section.
The first floor has the chambers of the TP President and Vice President, Standing Committee Meeting Hall and Akshara Dasoha office.
The second floor has a meeting hall with a seating capacity for 300 people. The ground floor also has a shopping complex with business space for six shops.
