Mangaluru, Oct 10, 2018: A final year degree student who had slapped the Milagres College principal was declared guilty by the fourth Additional District and Sessions Court on October 9, Tuesday.
Mohammed Shahnawaz, a final year BBA student, in a fit of rage had slapped and issued death threats to Milagres Degree College Principal Rev Michael Santhumayor, when the latter refused to issue hall ticket citing shortage of attendance in 2016.
Fourth Additional District and Sessions Court judge Nerale Veerabhadraiah Bhavani, however, will pronounce the quantum of punishment on October 22.
The quantum of punishment will be based on Shahnawaz’s good behaviour, public prosecutor Harishchandra Udyavar said.
