Mangaluru, June 27, 2015: The Kannada children’s movie ‘Kanasu Kannu Teredaga’ set to release on July 24 will be different in many ways. On June 27, Friday, the cast and crew of the film have set out on a unique mission- to raise awareness on cleanliness.
A vehicle with the writing N’amma Kanasu Swaccha Mangaluru’ was flagged off at Navabharath Circle in the presence of entrepreneur and social worker Vijaynath Vittal Shetty, Film Director Santosh Shetty Kateel and Producer Thammanna Shetty.
The movie has a story line that aims at conveying a message on environment protection and also to sensitise students on the need to promote environment friendly practices and cleanliness.
The movie team is also planning an inter-school Clean City Contest with the co-operation of Shield Trust and Ramakrishna Mission. The contest is open for Eco Club members of different schools. There will also be an essay writing and poster art contest.
The movie produced under the banner of Ganasiri Creations and Manikya Combines is a dream project of Kiran Kumar Puttur while the screen play is by Santosh Shetty Kateel who is also the director.
The star cast includes child actors Jagadish T, Pranava Bellare and senior artistes Thammanna Shetty and Gangadhar Bellare.
Apart from environment issues, the movie also delves on the child labour issue.
