Mangaluru, March 17, 2020:  Due to Covid-19 outbreak, Mangaluru KSRTC division has suffered a total loss of Rs 55,08,194 as on Sunday.

From March 1 onwards, Mangaluru KSRTC division with five depots in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts has suffered a total loss of Rs 55,08,194.

The loss from premium bus services alone was Rs 51,11,174, sources in KSRTC told DH.

Since March 1, 76 schedules of premium, city, ordinary and express buses were cancelled.

The KSRTC also decided to stop providing blankets and bed spreads to passengers in multi-axle buses. The KSRTC has appealed to the passengers to board buses with their own blankets and breadspreads.
