Mangaluru, April 15, 2021: A fire mishap took place in the TDS Section of the Income Tax office at Central Revenue Building at Attavar on April 15, Thursday morning.
A short circuit in the air-conditioner is said to be the reason for the fire which gutted a few computers, cupboards and files. Luckily no one was injured.
Fire tender vehicles immediately rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire. Sources said no data has been lost due to the fire mishap as soft copies are stored in the centralized system.
DCP Hariram Shanker and City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar also visited the spot.
