Mangaluru: DCIB sleuths nab four for assault on youths

Mangaluru, Dec 21, 2016 : Sleuths of District Crime Intelligence Bureau (DCIB) of Dakshina Kannada District Police have nabbed four accused in connection with case of assault reported at Kalpane near Benjana Padavu under Bantwal rural PS limits on December 19.

The accused are Devdas(30), Prashanth(28), Satish(30), and Umesh(30) had attacked Junaid and Sinan with sharp edged weapons on Monday leading to tension and heightened police patrolling to arrest a possible fall out.

Bhushan Gulabrao Borase, superintendent of police said police teams headed by Amanulla A and BK Manjayya, PIs of DCIB and Bantwal Circle respectively were set up to nab the accused.

The accused were nabbed near government school at Kodaman Abbettu by the DCIB team who were in hiding and in the alacrity of trying to slip away to neighbouring Udupi district to avoid getting caught. SP announced commendation certificate and cash rewards to the DCIB team.
