Mangaluru, Nov 16, 2014: Sri Rama Sena Chief Pramod Muthalik has once again made a controversial statement. This time he has demanded that the families of the girls who are victims of sexual assault should “chop off the hands of rapists.”
Speaking to reporters at Arya Samaj Bhavan here on November 16, Sunday, Muthalik said cases of rapes are an insult to humanity and added that the rise in the sexual assault cases across the nation was because there is no fear of law.
Regarding the attack on an inter-religious married couple at a religious shrine at Urva on November 14, Muthalik questioned why no arrests have been made in the case. He also warned of a protest by Sri Rama Sene against police inaction despite the girl’s complaint.
On the Nanditha case, Muthalik suspected there was an attempt to tamper evidences and also that efforts were on to shield the culprits in the case by the Shimoga in-charge minister and state government.
