Mangaluru : Bus strike likely in Dakshina Kannada on Sept 2

BusBundhMangaluru, Aug 29, 2015:  Private buses in the district are most likely to go off roads on September 2 in the wake of the  nationwide strike call given by the Motor Transport and Engineering Workers Union affiliated to the CITU to oppose the Road Transport and Safety Bill 2015 proposed by the Union Government.


The strike is also being observed to press for the fulfilment of the 12 point charter of demands submitted to the Centre by the trade unions.

 CITU General Secretary Vasanth Achari has said that most drivers, conductors and other bus crew in the district would take part in the strike.

Why the people think bund is the only solution to fulfill their demands? When the city buses support such activities it effects the life of common people a lot, they are completely dependent on them for the movement from home to the workplace.
