Mangaluru, May 16, 2016: A Thanksgiving Eucharist and felicitation programme was organised to mark the 20th anniversary of Episcopal  Ordination of Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul Bishop of Mangaluru on May 15, Sunday. The celebration held at Rosario Cathedral  was presided over by the Bishop himself with  several  other Bishops and priests being the concelebrants.

The Homily was delivered by Dr Henry D’Souza, Bishop of Bellary. The bishop was  felicitated by Msgr Denis Moras Prabhu.

Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi ,Fr.Peter Machado, Bishop of Belgaum, Dr Thomas M, Bishop of Belthangady, Dr John Thomas, Bishop of Itanagar and Dr Vincent  Concessao, retired Archbishop of Delhi were present on the occasion. Fr Charles D’Souza, Brother of Bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza was also present on the dais.

In his address, Fr Aloysius  Paul D’Souza  extended his deep gratitude to all those who have been a constant support to him in all his endeavours as Bishop of the Diocese. He also stressed the need for social and economic development and the significance of faith formation.

 Msgr. Edwin Pinto, former Vicar General, Msgr Leslie Shenoy, Ivan D Souza MLC, Fr. J B Crasta, Parish Priest of Rosario Cathedral,  Fr Vijay Machado, Director Mangala Jyothi  and  family members of Bishop Dr. Aloysius Paul D’Souza were present.
