Mangaluru, Feb 10, 2016 : Two thieves wanted in connection with several burglary cases have been arrested by Bajpe and Pandeshwar police.
In the first case, Bajpe police apprehended a man named Abdul Razak (45) of Bajpe on charges of stealing from several houses of his neighbours in Bajpe area whenever Roce ceremonies were held nearby.
The accused was arrested at Kandavara Hall in Kaikamba and gold weighing 380 grams was seized from him. It is learnt, he was wanted in at least six cases of thefts including four cases of thefts reported on January 23 in houses at Katte, Polytechnic Road, Bajpe-Kateel Road and Ambikanagar.
The other accused named Mohammad Asif alias Aachi (24) of Kasba Bengre was arrested by the Pandeshwar Police. Two two-wheelers, 95 kg copper wires all worth Rs 1.65 lakhs were recovered from him. It is learnt, he had stolen the two-wheelers from near the Mangalore Central Railway station and Bunder area last year. He was also wanted in connection with two theft cases in Bantwal too.
