Mangaluru, Mar 03, 2018 : BJP women wing in Mangaluru organised a two-wheeler rally on March 03, saturday in support of "Jana Suraksha Yatre", aiming to create awareness about the "anti-Hindu" policies of the Congress government in the state. The rally flagged off at Pumpwell circle , more than 200 women participated in it.
A four-day yatra is geard up in communally-sensitive coastal and Malnad regions of Karnataka. The Jana Suraksha Yatre (protection of people march) with a call "Mangaluru Chalo" was kicked off simultaneously from Kushalnagar and Ankola.The BJP, which had ruled Karnataka from 2008-13, has been eyeing to return to power in the coming polls.
The yatra has been organised to protest against the appeasement policies of the state government, to demand CBI probe into the death of Hindu activists, to fight for the removal of the Siddaramaiah government and to demand ban on PFI and SDPI.Padayatra which will commence at Kushalnagar will be inaugurated by Union Minister D V Sadananda Gowda while at Ankola, the Padayatra will be inaugurated by another Union Minister Prakash Javadekar.
The Padayatra commencing from Ankola will arrive in Mangaluru via Kumta, Honnavar, Bhatkal, Byndoor, Kundapur, Udupi, Kaup, Moodbidri and Baikampady while the yatra from Kushalnagar will pass through Madikeri, Sullia, Puttur, Maani, and BC Road.
The Yatra will culminate with a huge convention at Nehru Maidan in Mangaluru on March 6. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, State BJP Chief Yeddyurappa and several party leaders will participate in the meet .
