Mangaluru June 25, 2016: DCP (Crime) Dr Sanjeev M Patil inaugurated World Anti Drug Day at Vikas College Mangaluru, today June 25 Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sanjeev Patil said that drug is greatest evil in the society which has high impact on the young generation. People should come forward to make Mangaluru free from drug abuse.
Chairman of the Vikas College Krishna J Palemaar said that, today lot of young generation is addicted to drugs and also need to be responsible to create awareness among the students. Vikas College have taken up initiative in conducting such programme to make the society better one.
Proffessor of Yenapoya University Dr Sudeendra Prabhu said that, western culture has influenced teenager to consume drugs as it starts with tobacco, Alchol and then drugs. Drugs are so harmful that people get addicted and fail to continue their daily routine without consuming drugs.
Advisor Dr Anantha Prabhu, Principal Venkat Rayudu, Vice Principal Mohana were present.
