Mangaluru: Amid lockdown, people throng grocery stores

Mangaluru, March 26, 2020:  With a 21-day lockdown in place in order to fight Coronavirus, people continue to throng grocery stores to purchase essentials. Though administration has assured people that there would be no shortage of essentials, there is some sort of fear among people that there may be shortage in the days to come and many are stocking up essentials required for the next few days.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If customers were  seen  maintaing social distance when standing in queue in front of some grocery stores, in other places  social distancing has been let to wind. Meanwhile, as already announced Central Market stores are open only for retailers from today from  6 am to 10 am, while public can only purchase from retail grocery stores from 6 am to 12 noon.
