Mangaluru, Feb 13, 2015: The 43rd National Level ‘Dermacon-2015’ a four-day convention of dermatologists, venereologists and Leprologists was inaugurated at the TMA Pai Convention Centre in the city on February 12, Thursday. Dr Pritam Gopinath Munde, MP and Dermatologist  inaugurated the convention. Nearly 5000  doctors from across the nation are participating in the event organised by the India Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In her address, Dr Pritam Munde who is the daughter of the late BJP leader Gopinath Munde, said she would strive her level best to bring changes for better in the field of medical education, in her capacity as MP.

Dr Ganesh Pai, Mangaluru’s well-known dermatologist said the conference is being hosted by the city after a gap of 32 years and also recalled the conference organised  three decades ago.Though cosmetology was monetarily reawarding, young dermatologists must practice dermatology with great dedication.
The IADVL Dermal App was launched by Dr Deepak Parekh. Dr Venkatram of Mysore was installed as President of the Association for the year 2015-16.

Dr Rui Fernandes was conferred the Prof K C Kandari Award  for his contributions in the field of dermatology and venerology.

The formal inaugural ceremony was followed by cultural programmes.
