Mangalore police constable died in accident

Mangalore, April 1: Sandeep K N, police constable, in the finger print Department of Pandeshwara police station, lost his life, after he met with an accident at Mogaralputhur, near Kumble, Kasaragod district on April 1.

The accident is said to have taken place at 7 am at Mogaralputtur. He, along with his wife, son and cousin were traveling in a car, which he borrowed it from his friend. He was in a hurry to reach his house at Kasargod to attend his brothers wedding function on April 1. The car, which he was traveling, rammed into a speeding tanker.

He breathed his last on the spot. While his wife, son and cousin were injured and have been admitted to a hospital in Mangalore.

The mortal remains of Sandeep was kept in DCIB office at Mangalore to pay state honour by district police. He was one among the six policemen slated to be honoured with an award for their service on the occasion of the Police Flag Day on Friday April 2.
