Mangalore plane crash - Mulla & Mulla settles 155 cases

Mangalore, May 12, 2012 : Mulla & Mulla, the legal representative of Air India (AI) has so far settled 155 cases and distributed Rs. 113.02 crore in compensation.
AI has to settle only five more cases, two of which will be settled by the AI’s legal representatives in Mumbai. The other three will not be settled by Mulla & Mulla because foreign firms are handling these cases.
As many as 8 cases were settled during the final round of the meeting called by Mulla & Mulla in Mangalore during the past 3 days.
Of the total number of cases settled, 123 have been settled fully and 28 have been settled as per the judgment of the divisional bench of the Kerala High Court and four cases have been partly settled.
Mull & Mulla has conducted 15 meetings from Aug 31, 2010. The law of limitation expires on May 22, 2012, which happens to be the second anniversary of the tragic plane crash of May 22, 2012 in Mangalore.
