This is the first tour of its kind in the Muslim community. Such tours used to exist during the time of the prophet and the rule of the Caliphs in Arabia. The Kazi’s visit has created hope within the community. It has highlighted the fact that the religious leaders are indeed concerned about the members of the community.

The Kazi also visited the Jamat Committee of Uppinangady and appealed to them to fight against dowry. He has called upon the Jamat communities and the youth to work hard for the alleviation of the dowry menace and the poverty and helplessness associated with it. He stated that physical and mental abuse and extortion in the guise of dowry is criminal. Maligning the rights of poor and hapless women is against the tenets of Islam, he declared.

The Kazi’s visit has been arranged by the Talent Research Foundation in collaboration with the Dubai Hidayah Foundation President Zaheer Puttur and Haneef Puttur. Riyaz Kannur, president of the Talent Research Foundation; advisor Rafiq Master; and Sayyed, the president of the Santwana organization, were present on the occasion.
