Mangalore, May 17: A man, who was later identified as Sandhivelu, was found murdered near Mannagudda Mescom office on May 17, Tuesday.
Sandhivelu (25), a native of Tamil Nadu, was working as a daily-wage labourer near Derebail. He was murdered by unknown people, who smashed his face with a stone.
The police feel that some people took revenge on Sandhivelu, who was in the habit of teasing women and girls.
Circle Inspector Vinay Gaonkar and other police officers have visited the scene of crime, and the investigation has been handed over to the Barke police.
Sandhivelu’s body has been taken to Wenlock Hospital for post mortem.
