Mangaluru, Nov 9, 2015: The family of notorious gangster Madoor Isubu who was killed during the recent clash between under trials in the District Prison in Mangaluru, has met State Home Minister G Parameshwar at Circuit House on November 8, Sunday and has demanded a compensation of Rs 50 lakhs. They placed a similar demand for compensation on behalf of the family of another slain under trial Ganesh Shetty.
The family members of Isubu said the negligence of jail officials was responsible for the clash resulting in the death of Isubu and Ganesh and that the families deserve compensation owing to this fact.
They have also demanded a thorough probe into the incident through the CID following the statement of some senior officials that the killings were pre-planned.
Madoor Isubu’s brothers also brought to the notice of the Home Minister a memorandum which was submitted by Madoor Isubus’s wife earlier to the Police Commissioner seeking protection to her husband who was facing threat to his life.
Isubu’s brothers namely Ahmed Bava, Mohidin, Abdul Rahim, Mohiuddin, Hamid and sister Zeenath Banu were present.
The criminal’s family shouldn’t be given any compensation. If such people get compensation everyone will involve them self in crimes and the family wait for the compensation. That too the amount is so huge.
