MLC, Ivan D’Souza to press for fisheries college at Hejmady

Udupi, Aug 29, 2016: According to reports, MLC Ivan D’souza demanded setting up of Fisheries College at Hejamady in order to give importance to technical research in fisheries.
In this direction, a delegation of MLAs and MLCs of coastal districts will meet the Chief Minister shortly to press the demand. He was acting up on a memorandum submitted to him by fishermen at Padubidri.
About construction of Fisheries Port at Hejmady, he stated that proposal is under consideration in state and central governments.
Port Minister, H C Mahadevappa will be contacted to initiate proper action in this regard.
