Mangaluru, Jan 22, 2020: The family of Aditya Rao, the accused in the case of planting an explosive device at the Mangaluru International Airport on Monday, has assured full co-operation in the investigation into the case. It may be recalled here that Aditya Rao has surrendered before the Bengaluru Police at the IGP office today.
Speaking to reporters, Aditya’s brother who lives with his father at an apartment at Chilimbi in Mangaluru said Aditya was not in touch with the family since the past three years. He further said the family had not contacted him even while he was arrested after a hoax bomb threat in Bengaluru.
Aditya’s brother also claimed that the family was not aware that he was in Mangaluru.
Meanwhile, a five member investigation team led by ACP Belliappa and Vinay Gaonkar has reached Bengaluru to probe the case. The Bengaluru Police are expected to hand over the accused to Mangaluru Police.
