MCC officials evict street vendors near Central Market

Mangaluru, Sep 29, 2016: A team MCC officials led by along with Revenue and Health inspectors have raided areas of Market Road on September 29, Thursday in the evening.

The street venders, fruits and vegetable sellers and those who were trading illegally were targetted by MCC .The officials seized fruits and vegetables sellers on the roadside.

The raid was carried on the basis of receiving constant complaints from the general public that the traffic is completely blocked as sellers trade on the road. Even those who have been allotted space inside the markets run their business on the roads.The intention of the MCC officials was not to target the poor traders but want to ensure the need for proper records and licence while running a business.

In the rural they get one day for the traders to trade-at particular location called Santhe . If the street vendors are driven away what about the life earnings.
