Another team under the leadership of Santhosh Kumar ordered the closure of a hotel in Hampankatta because the owner did not have a trade license for operating in Hampankatta. Vasanth Suvarna, the owner of Hotel Suvarna, located opposite University College, had a trade license to run a hotel near Old Bus Stand. The MCC team called the Pandeshwar police and directed them to seal the hotel in their presence.

Several shops in Tokyo Market pulled down their shutters when they got the information that MCC was conducting a raid. A sugarcane juice shop near Tokyo Market closed because it had only one license for two shops.

MCC officers Karunakar, Sushanth, Bharath, Santhosh, and others were in the raid teams.
