MCC Commissioner gets notice from DK DC

Mangaluru, Mar 06, 2018: DK DC  Sasikanth Senthil has served a show-cause notice to Mangaluru City Corporation Commissioner Mohammed Nazeer for failing to clear unauthorised banners, buntings and cut outs in Mangaluru city.

 

The notice said that illegal banners, buntings and cut outs are found in different parts of the city and have been causing inconvenience to both pedestrians and vehicle users. Such illegal banners and hoardings are also affecting the beauty of the city.

The deputy commissioner said, “The banners and buntings have been placed on the middle of the road in an unorganised manner. As a responsible officer, your silence on the issue gives room for suspicion,” he said and sought to know whether the MCC commissioner had given permission to place the banners, cut out and hoardings.

DC Senthil has also asked about the measures taken by the MCC on initiating action to clear such illegal hoardings and banners.

The notice also asked why action should not be initiated against Nazeer for failing to clear the illegal hoardings and banners in the city.
