Udupi, Nov 14, 2016: In a fitting act during ’Children’s Month’, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) division of M/s Allcargo logistics Ltd a global player in the field of logistics is yet again all set for a leading role in DK, Udupi districts and surroundings in  providing scholarships, to deserving students for 2016-17.

Avashya foundation has been implementing projects in the area of education, health, environment and women’s empowerment. Education is one of the flag ship focus area though which this foundation has been implementing projects like Disha, Career guidance and computer literacy. Disha is a scholarship distribution programme which has been launched with the  objectives of reducing financial stress of the families, reducing dropout rate among students,  and bringing education into the mainstream of peopel here. Total Value of the scholarships to be distributed for 2016-17, in November 2016 is for 1606 students, Value Rs. 50,40,000/-.  Progressive Grand total-2011 to 2016- 6 Years - for 6546 Students -  Grand progressive total Rs.178,72,000/- All relevant  information is provided for your kind publication.

 Dr Shashi Kiran Shetty, Chairman of Mumbai-based, Allcargo Logistics Ltd, Avvashya group, the key person, hails from Bantwal., Mangaluru, and is the driving force behind this great venture.  Through Avvashya Foundation, SKS has taken on a significant role along with his wife Arathi in the CSR initiative beyond philanthropy with a head start in people inclusive development. Key areas of initiatives are in Health care, Education, Women empowerment, Environment , Natural Disaster Relief, and sports.  A staunch believer in CSR leading the Avashya Foundation from the front.
