Mangaluru, May 3, 2017 : The Police have been asked to deal law breakers strictly whichever party or organisation they belong to, said State home Minister Dr G Parameshwar.
Addressing presspersons at the District Congress Office on May 2, Tuesday, Parameshwar said the law and order situation in the city was quite better as of now and added that he wants it to improve further.
Parameshwar who had earlier visited the residence of the slain Karopady GP Vice President Abdul Jaleel Karopady, said the police are expected to file a chargesheet soon as 11 persons have been arrested in the case so far.
On the Ahmed Qureshi case, the Home Minister said the CoD probe will reveal the truth. Regarding arrest of the accused in the Karthik Raj case six months after the incident, the Minister said if some cases were solved within a few days others took years as in case of Prof. Kalburgi murder case
DK District in-charge Minister Ramanath Rai, Chief Whip of State Legislative Council Ivan D’Souza, district Congress Interim President Ibrahim Kodijal, District Youth Congress President Mithun Rai, Puttur MLA Shakuntala Shetty and others were present.
