LPG tanker overturns at Uppinangady; no gas leakage; driver hurt

Puttur, Aug 1, 2016 : A bullet LPG tanker which was heading towards Bengaluru from Mangaluru overturned  on the National Highway No. 75 at Banottu in Uppinangady on August 1, Monday causing some anxious moments. Luckily, there was no gas leakage. The driver of the tanker  Lokanath (39) who hails from Tamil Nadu received minor injuries.

The Fire and Emergency service personnel are at the spot and the NH has been blocked owing to the mishap.  All vehicles plying on the route have been diverted via Puttur.

Uppinangady Police are at the spot.
