Kundapur : Young housewife ends life at parental home

Kundapur, Oct 5, 2015 : A young housewife who was married just four months ago has reportedly ended her life by hanging herself at her parental home at Keradi on October 4, Sunday.

The deceased woman is Pavitra (23), wife of  Satish Shetty of Chittoor. She was the dauighter of Lalitha nad Bhasker Shetty couple of Keradi.

Pavitra and Satish were married  on May 29 this year. Satish works in Dubai and Pavitra used to stay at her parental home and in-law’s house alternatively. Iroinically  Pavitra has ended her life when her husband who was in Dubai was planning to take her along within a few days.

Though the reason behind the extreme step is not known, it is said Pavitra had received a call from her husband on Sunday morning which she  had attended. However when her husband called again she failed to attend the call. Satish had then called his father-in-law who went to Pavitra’s room only to find her hanging from the ceiling fan.

It is said that Pavitra and Satish had a cordial relationship and there was no reason as such that might have forced  her take the extreme step.

Kollur police have registered a case and are conducting investigations.
