Kundapur: Newly wedded bride commits suicide, foul play suspected

Kundapur, Dec 12, 2017: A newly wedded bride ends life by jumping into well at her her in-laws house in Siddpura Mangana Salu on December 11 evening.

Gowri Devadiga (24) daughter of Achyutha Devadiga and Kamala couple of Bantawadi is identified as the deceased. She married Ragavendra Deavdiga just seven months ago.

Sources said Gowri’s parents were informed about her suicide by her in-laws on Tuesday. Her parents allege that she was being harrased over dowry , this might have forced her to take the extreme step is supected. Body has been sent to Manipal hospital for autopsy.

Shankernarayana police are investigating the case.

The dowry harassment is still going on these days , The woman die and action is not taken on the groom’s family. The girl has to take stand never give up life ,we have to teach them lesson so they other do not become the prey.
