Kundapur : Hay laden lorry catches fire ; no casualties

Kundapur, Nov 09, 2015:  A Tata 407 mini lorry laden with hay  caught fire accidentally  at Thekkatte on November 8, Sunday night. Luckily there were no casualities as the fire was immediately extinguished with the help of locals.

 

The lorry was heading towards Brahmavar from Kundapur when all of a sudden fire was noticed  in its rear by locals. The driver was immediately alerted and he stopped the lorry and the trailer of the lorry was lifted  to help in putting out the fire. Though no one was harmed, all the hay in the lorry was reduced tpo ashes.

Though the cause of the fire is not known, some suspect that the lorry might have come into contact with an electric wire resulting in the mishap.

Traffic was affected on the route for some time.
