Kundapur: Exclusive authority for Kollur, Kukke temples - Minister Sorake

Kundapur, Nov 20, 2015: Udupi District In-charge Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake said the chief minister has plans to set up a separate authority for the development of major temples of Karnataka including Kollur Mookambika and Kukke Subrahmanya.

 

Vinay Kumar So..Speaking at ground breaking for the multicrore project of underground drainage system and drinking water purifying project at Kollur in Kundapur recently, he said that if the plan is realised, the development activities in Kollur and surrounding areas will be carried out in expected manner.

Thousands of tourists turn up at Kollur from various parts of India and foreign countries. The government will provide all necessary support to the temple administration in facilitating all basic amenities to the devotees. The drinking water purifying unit will be set up at a cost of Rs 10.13 crore and the underground drainage system will be set up at a cost of Rs 14.3 crore.

Kollur Temple Tantri Nityananda Adiga was present.

Baindur MLA K Gopal Poojary, Kollur Temple Management Committee Chairman Krishnaprasad Adyantaya, members Jayananda Hobalidar, Dr Atulkumar Shetty, Srinivas Kalluraya, Chief Executive Officer Uma, District Project Officer Prasanna, Zilla Panchayat member Supreetha Deepak Kumar Shetty, Taluk Panchayat member Ramesh Ganiga, Gram Panchayat President K N Vishwanath Adiga, Assistant Executive Officer Krishnamurthy, Superintendent Ramakrishna Adiga, Public Relations Officer Sanjiv Shetty and others were present.
