Kundapur : Committee thwarts desperate woman’s attempts to sell her children

Kundapur, Aug 5, 2016 : Members of the Anti-Child Trafficking Committee have succeeded in thwarting the attempt made by a hapless lady  from Brahmavar to sell her children in order to arrange funds for the release of her  arrested husband. It has been gathered that the husband of the woman has been named an accused in a murder case.


child-traffick...It is learnt, the Committee which gathered information that the  woman who stayed in a rented accommodation at Kharvikeri was desperately making attempts to sell her children, had rushed to her place.


Though the woman refused to come along with them, the Committee members raised funds  and handed over a cash of Rs 26,000 to her  in the presence of the station house officer of the local police station, so that she could get her husband out on bail.

Gunaratna, President of the Anti-Child Trafficking Committee, Usha K, Ravikala Ganesh and many others were present on the occasion.
