Kasargod, Sep 14, 2015: The Kasargod police have succeeded in arresting one of the main accused in the Koodlu Co-operative Bank robbery case. The arrest was made in Bengaluru and the accused has been identified as Mahsooq (25) , a resident of Chowki in Kasargod.
It may be recalled here that five masked men who had entered the Koodlu Service Co-operative Bank on September 7 during broad daylight, had escaped with 21 kg gold and Rs 13 lakh cash.
The arrested Mahsooq is expected to be brought to Kasargod from Bengaluru on September 14, Monday. Meanwhile police are continuing their search for the four other accused.
Police had earlier taken into custody four persons who had abetted the accused in the crime.
Four teams are in action and are leaving no stone unturned in zeroing in on the accused.
