Mangaluru, Sep 18,2017 : State Minister for Food and Civil Supplies U T Khader ventured into the field and planted paddy saplings with students at Annerepalu fields near Konaje on September 17, Sunday.
The field visit programme was part of the ’Vidyarthigale Nadige Hadilu Bhoomiya Kadege’ of the NSS students of Government First Grade College, Carstreet, Mangaluru organised under the guidance of the Hasiru Sene of DK District Raitha Sangha.
On Sunday, the Minister who happened to see the students engaged in the works in the fields. Immediately removed his shoes, folded his trousers till his knee and ventured into the fields.
He planted saplings for nearly half an hour under the guidance of APMC Vice President Muttu N Shetty. Several other leaders too joined Khader.
