Kasargod : Robbers murder retd teacher; husband critical

Kasargod, Dec 14, 2017: A retired teacher was found murdered with her throat slit while her husband too was found injured in a similar state at their house at Chimeni.

It is suspected that this was the handiwork of dacoits who had barged into their house late night on Wednesday. Initial investigations have revealed that the assailants have robbed the cash and jewels from the house and also the jewels which the retired teacher was wearing.

The deceased woman has been identified as P V Janaki (65) of Chimeni Puliyannur. Her husband Krishnan has been admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru in a critical state.

Finger print experts and canine squad has been pressed into service. Investigations are underway.
