Kasargod: Newly married couple from Kayyar among 7 killed in Tamil Nadu road accident

Kasargod, May 13, 2017: A gory road accident involving a car and a lorry reported from Karur in Tamil Nadu during the wee hours of May 13, Saturday has claimed the lives of seven members belonging to a family including a newly married couple.
The deceased couple Alwyn Monteiro and Preema were married just on May 6. Alwyn’s brother Harold, his wife Precilla, Sharon, Rohit and Catherine also lost their lives in the mishap. All of them hailed from Mandekapu in Kayyar, though some of them lived in Mumbai. Jeshma, Reema, Sanvi and Roshan were critically injured in the mishap.
The accident took place when 11 members of the family were on their return journey after visiting Velankanni. The lorry coming from the opposite direction had rammed against the car resulting in the tragedy.
