Kasargod : Man arrested for trying to smuggle ganja to Qatar through a passenger

Kasargod, Sep 12, 2015 : Police have arrested a resident of Nellikatte Kayarkochi on the charges of hiding packets of ganja amid fruits with an intention of smuggling it to Qatar through a passenger who was heading to the Gulf nation.

Kasargod : Man arrested for trying to smuggle ganja to Qatar through a passenger The arrested person is Abdul Naushad (36). He was arrested on the basis of the complaint filed by Haneef of Nellikatte Chennadka. On September 9, Naushad on coming to know that Haneef was leaving for Qatar handed him a parcel of fruits with a request to pass it on to a friend in Qatar.

Haneef who agreed, took it home. When he eventually did not find space for the parcel in his baggage, he decided to open it and keep it separately in his baggage. Amid the fruits he found an old pair of shorts and found ganja packets in the pockets of the shorts.

Realising that Naushad had planned to cheat him, Haneef approached the police who arrested Naushad. It is learnt, during interrogation he revealed that the ganja packets were for one of his friends who is in Qatar.

This is greed which tempt to do such business. The police has to be very strict in such cases as, this spoil the life of youth and they will be no where in future.

Send such men to a Muslim country because our law is not strict, Such people easily get bail in our country and the repeat their mistake again and again
