Kasargod : Man arrested for torturing minor housemaid

Kasargod, March 04, 2016: The Kumble Police have arrested a 48 year old man on the charges of employing a minor housemaid and also committing atrocities on her. It has been gathered that the minor girl was left in Mohammad’s house by her very own mother who worked there, as a replacement while she left for her native place.

The accused man is Mohammad, a resident of Arikkady Fort road. It is learnt, the man had not only forced the little girl, a second standard student to do strenuous work but had also harassed her by cutting her hair.

Unable to bear his harassment, the girl had run away from the home. Locals who saw the desperate girl immediately informed the Child Line. The Child Line officials later lodged a police complaint against Mohammad leading to his arrest.
